Program Description
The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum has two internship opportunities available for this summer:

Preservation & Restoration Summer Fellowship
In this summer fellowship, students gain exposure to experts in the field as they work on preserving, restoring, cleaning and caring for historic artifacts and engines. Students will gain a deeper understanding of aviation and space-related topics, learn the informal and informal education process, and gain exposure to well-known experts in the field.
Relevant majors: Engineering, Aerospace, Aviation, or other related STEM fields.

Center for Earth and Planetary Studies Internship
Students will help investigate impact craters on Mars to help get a glimpse into the red planet’s past.

Requirements for both

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Level: College & University
  • Compensation: $5,500
  • Setting: In-person
  • Location: Washington D.C.
