Founded
- CCALS originally conceived as the Virginia Logistics Research Center (VLRC) through Crater Planning District Commission initiative
2012
Name change, founding members
- CCALS formed under current name, modeled on a successful advanced manufacturing prototype • joined by UVA, VSU, Longwood and VCU • joined by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
2013
Operations expand
- CCALS initiates research roadmap • CCALS participates in Supply Chain Summit • joined by Combined Arms Support Command at Fort Lee
2014
Member-directed research
CCALS completes first member-directed research project for LMI on grid safety for utility providers
2015
ODU, more research
- Old Dominion University partners with CCALS • Multi-year Research Agreement with Port of Virginia • Cooperative Research Agreement and Development with U.S. Army • LMI Research Institute Academic partnership Program • Naval Aviation Warfare Aircraft Center division (NAWCAD) partnership

DecideSmart
- DecideSmart comes on board as partnerships grow
