President and Executive Director Opening
The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems (CCALS) invites nominations and applications for the position of its second President and Executive Director.
CCALS is an advanced logistics Center of Excellence that is sponsored under the Virginia Innovation Partnership Authority (VIPA) and organized as a 501(c)3. It is a unique collaboration between economic developers, higher education, industry and government.
The position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead an organization on the cutting edge of a field crucial to the economic development aspirations of the Commonwealth.
The next president will have relevant experience with the logistics industry and the analytical and workforce trends driving its transformation. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience that will enable CCALS to operate effectively within the Virginia governmental environment, to build strong collaborations with its university partners, and to advance the potential of CCALS’ emergent co-location with the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM). CCALS’ next president will be an entrepreneurial leader committed to recruiting industry members, an effective communicator across multiple platforms, and an individual of the highest integrity who supports the organization’s core values with respect to diversity, equity and inclusion. An advanced educational degree is preferred.
