The Virginia Economic Development Partnership: The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1995 to encourage, stimulate, and support the development and expansion of the economy of the Commonwealth. To accomplish its objectives of promoting economic expansion within the Commonwealth, the Partnership focuses its efforts on business recruitment, expansion, and international trade development. The Port of Virginia

The Port of Virginia: The Port of Virginia, owned by the Virginia Port Authority, is built around the world’s largest natural deep-water harbor and currently stands as the third largest container port on the East Coast. Crater Planning District Commission

Crater Planning District Commission: The Crater Planning District Commission brings together 11 south central Virginia governments to focus on economic, industrial and small business development. The Commission also works to address environmental issues, including local ramifications of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation act, air quality standards and solid waste management, and regional transportation issues, including local transportation planning efforts. Virginia Commonwealth University: Virginia Commonwealth University is an urban public research institution, established in 1838, and located in Richmond, Virginia.
